I've worked with this group (although not in a healthcare setting). They were great at helping to design our site but the development end left a lot to be desired. It was also difficult to reach them before 10 am Central time, as they were on the West Coast.

Slalom is a Salesforce implementation shop and really dynamic. They hire from former McKinsey, Deloitte, and other big-name consultancies, finding consultants who no longer want to travel every day, or put in constant 100-hour weeks. They kind of feel like Accenture, just how they carry themselves, they've got their own dynamic, not so stuck up like Deloitte or McKinsey. We love them at our healthcare system.

We’re neutral on Sitecore. The software is an industry leader, but what really matters is your development partner. Once the sale is done, Sitecore is out of the picture, and your development team will handle everything. Keep that in mind.

We use Experity (formerly Clockwise.md) for our urgent care centers and are pleased with the results. Simple to set up, just a few days of tweaking settings and it was integrated. We’ve also used them for online scheduling. Recommended.

We used NRCHealth for patient reviews and transparency. We do a deep dive into vendor selection, and this one is top-notch for service and technology. Also, transparency administration by marketing is a breeze due to the simple system they have set up. The SEO benefits for physicians are tremendous.

One of the first in the industry to offer this service with services that are now standard by other vendors. Our sales rep stretched the truth to put it mildly, so that was not welcome. Their pricing is by location, so our organization grew to the point that the service was overpriced for what we needed and we now use another vendor.

Kept making technology promises to our academic medical center regarding the transparency solution but didn't deliver. We ended up moving our patient experience surveys to have the best technology solution for ratings. And they lawyered up when we were at the end of our contract, so strongarm tactics ensured they lost a client. Would not recommend.

Mytonomy has visionary leaders who understand the importance of patient education and engagement as part of a digital front door strategy. They offer a deep library of microlearning videos that have been vetted by leading health organizations, with data supporting how their content improves health outcomes and reduces costs for providers. Mytonomy has its own video production studio with very experienced professionals -- production value is very high for both live action and animated content. Their patient-facing UI/UX is very intuitive -- when they call their service "Netflix for healthcare" that's spot on -- and encourages binge watching. Mytonomy's seamless integration with Epic makes it very easy for providers to assign content, and easy for patients to access video education via MyChart. They make great use of email and text messaging to keep patients engaged once they have activated Mytonomy-powered services. One thing to be aware of as you consider Mytonomy is that their product roadmap is very aggressive, and they push new features and functionality that may not necessarily be a good fit for every health organization. It is important to know your needs as be very direct with Mytonomy regarding expectations and project scope, because they will definitely push you to do more.

Drupal is an excellent choice for hospitals and health systems. It's open source, so it's free. There are a lot of plug-ins already available and PHP developers are widely available. It's a powerful CMS and open source systems are being adopted more each year.

I was really impressed with how they took all of the data from our sources and designed the most user-friendly, clean, mobile-centric provider directory I've ever seen. We use WOW Marketing in the local Miami market. They're a homegrown company, and their leader, Jose Dans, is phenomenal. We created a program called 100 and Much More, which celebrates our members aged 100 or over. We did a video where a 100-year-old patient is surprised when he walks into the practice. There are balloons everywhere; there's cake, it's a real celebration for him. It was such a fantastic event. WOW created the campaign, the logo; they videotaped it, and they interviewed the gentleman. They did a phenomenal job.

I've worked with The Beryl Institute for many years, and my experience has been tremendous. They have a wealth of resources for me as a leader in customer experience, especially in human experience. The staff is amicable and helpful. One project I did with Beryl was with our independent provider organizations in Puerto Rico, and they were phenomenal at helping us do this pilot. We got some excellent data out of it, improved the experience, and increased retention using their assessment. I highly recommend them.
