We've worked with SPM for almost 10 years, and it's been a good relationship from the start. Before they came in, our marketing efforts were far too tactical and reactionary. One of the most important things SPM did was move us to an always-on strategy. One of their critical strengths is their deep experience with the healthcare vertical, especially the various needs of the healthcare consumer. From awareness through to point of decision, they understand our audience.
Marketing Strategy - SPM provides deep expertise in the healthcare consumer and they don't take any shortcuts. They regularly interview our key executive stakeholders to inform our brand direction and then synthesize findings into an overall strategy. Then move forward from there.
They bring an excellent ability to talk to and manage clinical and administrative leadership. It's so valuable to have a partner who knows how to navigate strong opinions and sometimes differing points of view. From the boardroom to clinical leadership, their ability to understand the healthcare landscape internally is key.
We use SPM for all strategic planning, campaign development, and traditional media planning/buying. In addition, they collaborate with our internal teams and other agency partners to bring integrated ideas and recommendations forward.
SPM gets our highest recommendation.

I've worked with this group (although not in a healthcare setting). They were great at helping to design our site but the development end left a lot to be desired. It was also difficult to reach them before 10 am Central time, as they were on the West Coast.

Stephanie and the team she brought were fantastic! They essentially functioned as an extension of our internal team, quickly grasping our objectives and proposing effective, attractive solutions. In the early days of digital marketing, I engaged them for our first distribution of a digital annual report. We were struggling with the various pieces involved and if it should be in-house. We ultimately went to True North who came up with some very creative ideas. Not only did we do an annual report, but we produced a whole digital marketing campaign to promote the report. The distribution out to our many stakeholders was not the report itself, but a clickable promotion for the report available for download. It was very unique at its time. The level of creativity and integrated marketing was really impressive and very important to us.

We hired Fingerpaint for a rebrand for our complex clinically integrated network. They took us through the most unique and helpful discovery process. They solicited the core nuggets of feedback from every person involved, and distilling it into the perfect brand. They did a redesign of our logo, our color scheme, our language, and tone. My favorite thing that they created was our tagline because it just hit the nail on the head. They made the entire process fun and engaging. Also, I insist on being more involved than most clients and they were absolutely okay with that. They embraced it and we worked in partnership.

Eruptr speaks our language. They specialize in healthcare, and they’ve all sat where I sit so I never have to waste time explaining the nuances of our complex industry. They understand the challenges hospital marketing teams face, especially those that are within conservative environments.
I’ve worked with agencies who deliver the vanity metrics – impressions, CTR, ad positioning, all of which are important – but they’ve never been able to deliver conversions, which are really what drive our business at the end of the day. With the Eruptr team’s expertise and recommendations, we’ve seen our campaign conversions multiply. We have access to a real-time dashboard so we can monitor the numbers as often as we want. Their detailed monthly reports are a huge asset, and they’re written in such a way that even the C-suite can understand them!
I’m not so sure I would call Eruptr a vendor. I actually see them as an extension of our marketing team, and they absolutely make us better.

Thanks to Healthgrades, consumers can find information about a provider and book an appointment right from their profile page. In addition, physicians can personalize their profiles with photos and videos to introduce themselves to patients which in turn enables a deep connection with consumers who are making appointments.
