Bruce Swords, MD, PhD, is Chief Physician Executive for Cone Health. He joined Cone Health as chief medical officer 2015. Swords collaborates with other physicians, leaders and care providers across Cone Health to further improve quality, safety and knowledge-driven, patient-centered care. Swords joined Cone Health in the primary care division of LeBauer HealthCare in 1996 and became chief of that division in 1999. He became vice president and chief medical information officer in 2009 and was instrumental in Cone Health’s successful move to an electronic health record.

Christopher Snyder, DO is the Chief Medical Quality Officer at Peninsula Regional Medical Center (PRMC). Dr. Snyder is responsible for leading the efforts underway to improve and enhance patient care quality, safety and efficiency through collaboration with providers and clinical staff on a daily basis. He works closely with doctors, case managers and other advanced practice and clinical professionals to ensure patients are in the hospital when they need to be, and to advise when it's appropriate to release or move them to another care environment, such as a skilled nursing or acute care facility, home health, or outpatient observation services.

Melissa Tunc, RN works as the System Director for Quality and Performance Improvement for Valley Health System in Ridgewood, NJ. She received her Master’s and Doctoral Degree from Walden University with a focus on Administration and Leadership. Melissa has been a nurse for 20 years with most years focusing on quality, performance improvement, and patient safety. She holds several certifications including Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality, Project Management, Board Certified Holistic Nurse, and a Black Belt in Lean Six Sigma. She is a National Patient Safety Fellow. Melissa is also an adjunct Nursing professor for Ramapo College of New Jersey focusing on Master’s level leadership and quality courses.

Dr. Gradick brings over 25 years of clinical practice including a broad background in medical staff and hospital leadership to the Quality Solutions team at Healthgrades as the Vice President, Physician Consultant. She has the strategic background and proven critical thinking skills to guide hospitals and teams in changing the delivery of care to improve outcomes. During her tenure at Healthgrades, she has worked with orthopedic, cardiac, surgery, and critical care service lines to create and implement quality initiatives and processes. Dr. Gradick is certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine and is a Fellow in the American College of Emergency Physicians.
